You could argue Mike Foltynewicz is the most important member of the Braves rotation. Unlike Wisler and, to a lesser degree, Blair (whose strikeout totals in the minors have wildly varied), Folty misses bats.
He was sublime his last time out, the best he’s looked since last May, when, in consecutive starts against Milwaukee and San Francisco, Folty allowed 3 runs and 8 hits in 14-2/3 IP, striking out 15 and walking 2.
If he finally develops some consistency, the turnaround may not take as long as we fear.
