I’ll be at the game tonight with my dad. It’ll be the first time in a while we’ve been to a game together. He’s in his mid-80s and generally prefers watching on TV at home in South Alabama. But he wants to see the Braves and Yanks, so we’ll be in what I suspect might be a minority rooting for the home team this evening.
The game itself might not be a hell of a lot of fun. Ws Perez has been shaky of late and Tanaka is the pin stripers’ best starter. Their lineup isn’t fearsome, but it’s a decent big league offense.
I’m disappointed we won’t see Olivera. I understand. No reason to rush the guy. I mean, these games are hardly critical for the Braves. Still, it’d be fun to see him. Sounds like he’ll debut next week in front of about 35,000 fewer fans than we’ll have at the yard the next couple nights.
