The #Braves last World Series win

I was downright cocky after Mad Dog and Wohlers shut out the Yanks in Game 2 in the Bronx, with good reason. In their last five games, the Braves had outscored the Cards and the Yanks 48-2. The present was bright and the future brighter — Chipper, Andruw, Klesko, Javy and Jermaine Dye were all 25-and-under, while Maddux and Glavine had just turned 30.

Naturally, the Braves haven’t won a World Series game since. But it’s nice to remember those three days in October when my team was a dynasty in the making.
