Open thread, World Series Game 4, Al Cowenses vs. Ed Halickis

Last night’s game was a pleasure to watch — excellent fielding, clutch hitting, dominant pitching and questionable decision-making. And plenty of drama.

Will Ned Yosty continue to defy the odds? Letting Kelvin Herrera bat with a fast runner on 1st and 2 outs made little sense, especially with three lefties due up in the bottom of the 7th. But it worked.

We’ll see if his luck continues. I’m surprised Bochy didn’t go with Bumgarner, but he’s yet to use Petit, fantastic down the stretch and into the playoffs, and I suspect Vogelsong will have little margin for error.
