Harry and Piersall

The Chicago White Sox of the late 70s had little to root for but they were still mighty entertaining, with Bill Veeck in the owner’s box and Harry Caray and Jimmy Piersall calling games. They were funny and unsparing, a stark contrast to the shameless homers that populate today’s local broadcast booths.

Here’s the dynamic duo in action, calling Carlton Fisk’s return to Boston in April 1981.
