Open thread, 10/2, ALDS Game 1’s

Can Baltimore overcome injuries to its starting corner infielders and the absence of a true ace? Will Detroit’s perpetually leaky bullpen drown their championship hopes yet again? Can the Angels get by with a three-man rotation? And can Kansas City overcome Ned Yost?

I’m rooting for the O’s but think Detroit will prevail. David Price and Justin Verlander finished strong, and the ‘pen will be aided by the addition of Annibal Sanchez.

It’ll be a Midwest LCS, as Kansas City’s depth overwhelms Anaheim’s star power.
