LaStella called up; Uggla still a Brave

Tommy LaStella finally got the call to Atlanta. He provides a LH bat who doesn’t strike out much, though don’t expect much power. TLS was hitting .293 with a .384 OBP at Gwinnett.

Don’t know who is getting sent down or released to make room for  LaStella, but Bowman says it won’t be Uggla.

In 4 minor league seasons, the New Jersey native has a .322 BA and .881 OPS.

  1. Fingaz crossed that Tommy starts on a hot streak and makes it hard for Fredi to bench him. Even better if he’s a flawless bunter.

  2. He hasn’t set the world on fire with the bat and he’s a crummy defender but I feel a little bad for Tyler. I’d like to keep him around as a pinch hitter and finally cut the cord with Uggla.

  3. I’m glad to see the Rev go. At least with Uggla, you don’t have to worry about him colliding with the star players. Pastornicky is dimwitted even by MLB standards. Good riddance.
