  1. The Braves still needed Joe Morgan to hit that legendary HR to kill the dreaded Dodgers. I remember listening to the call while on duty in Germany. As a lifelong Braves fan, the suffering was over. Then began that bizarre series with STL where Knucksie was robbed due to the rain.The Braves led 1–0 behind Phil Niekro and were three outs from an official game when the umpire stopped it. When the rain did not subside, the game was postponed.
