Finally, some good news

The Braves settled on an architect today for Pascual Perez Memoral Field: Populous, which has designed some of the best new stadiums in baseball, including Pittsburgh’s PNC Park, San Francisco’s AT&T Stadium and Camden Yards. The firm does have some misfires, however, including Florida’s Marlins Park and the new Yankee Stadium.

  1. I’m no fan of the move to Cobb, but it’s a done deal, so if they’re going to build a new stadium might as well be a good one.

  2. I agree. Knowing that it’s going to happen, let’s at least make sure it’s done well.

  3. Why not just go back to building stadiums out of wood, since they’re apparently disposable?

  4. I would prefer a stadium made out of styrofoam so that it doesn’t hurt my hand as much when I punch a wall after another dumb-ass, Braves post-season fuck-up.
