Like CB, I have a sort of J-Hey injury hangover. It’s bugging me, and making me think it could also be bringing down his teammates. I feel a series loss acoming.

A clutch player, though he did ponder murdering a GM

Which isn’t a big deal. Do need to get cranking and make a run at home field, though. In today’s news, Beachy went to the Dl, and we acquired Freddy Garcia. Sounds like he’ll play for the Gwinnettians and come up in September to spell the starters, basically the role Maholm was going to fill until Beachy went down.

I hope FW is seeking an outfielder. Marlon Byrd or Hunter Pence might be gettable and would be an upgrade, especially for the postseason and especially if Schafer doesn’t regain his first half form and if BJ continues the whiff parade.

We’ll see them both tonight: Schafer LF, J. Upton RF, Freeman, C. Johnson, McCann, Simmons, BJ, E. Johnson, Medlen.

Wins are going to be hard to come by down the stretch. Good thing we had that triple-cheeseburger of a lead.
We really need BJ to find his swing.

You guys can include Gattis in your ritual BJ bitching any time, now. The plain fact of the matter is that none of those three guys is getting it done right now. I just get tired of this AJC board style loading of it all on to Upton because he’s got a big contract.

Shame on Matheney for indulging Wainwright’s ego trip and letting him throw that many pitches. It would serve them right for him to struggle down the stretch and in the playoffs from overwork.

That twat Eddings is behind the plate tomorrow. I would expect issues.

CB’s pal Ned calmly sat there gaping tonight as Bruce Chen methodically pissed away a 6-0 lead, so it looks like status quo on the MN for now.

So what happened with the Justin ejection? I had the game on but the volume off and couldn’t figure out what was going on.

  4. He screamed ‘fuck you’ or something of the like to the ump after a cpl bad strike calls on his 4-3 groundout..

Wouldnt be surprised to see Meds shipped off in the winte after his post game comments– Hudson’s spot may have opened back up for next year.

  5. Agree with you pepe, Cept for the fact Gattis is making league minimum and had no expectations coming in to the season. Not discounting he’s looked awful, just calling it like it is..

JUp and Freeman both claim he said “Fuck me”, directing it at himself. I only heard it once, but I don’t see those guys immediately deciding to lie. Nauart was really childish about it, yelling “See ya!” over and over.

If we give up on a guy of Medlen’s talent just to soothe Fredi’s feelings, this team is going to suffer.

So tired of showboating, incompetent umpires.

Wren isn’t stupid. Medlen is cheap, very good, and versatile. Wren would also being selling low. Meds isn’t going anywhere.

I see. After these nightmare injuries to Huddy and J-Hey, I hope this thing doesn’t begin to unravel over the course of September. That would be tough to bear after the way the past two seasons ended.
