13.5 biggest lead in nearly 10 years.

The last time the Braves had a lead this big: Aug. 31, 2003, after a 10-4 drubbing of the Pirates improved their record to 87-49.  Shane Reynolds improved to 11-7 despite a 5.34 ERA.

This season feels more like one during the run, rather than what we’ve seen the last few years.

I never took any of our titles for granted but I did get used to them. Winning this year will be like getting back together with a former girlfriend that you’ve never gotten out of your mind.

You just reminded me that I am still pissed about losing to the Cubs that year in the playoffs. Dreadful day in ATL sports history. Vick-less Falcons fell to 0-4, Braves eliminated by the Cubs, then Dan Snyder passes away during the night. I am sure the Hawks did some stupid shit too, but I cannot recall specifically.

    The Cubs paid for it.

    Big time.

  4. Great comment above, pepe. You summed up this season perfectly.

  5. I was at SkyField with a standing room only ticket the night we got eliminated…it was such a shitty ending to one of the most fun seasons of that run.
