Open thread, 8/5, Braves vs. Tom Funks
A loss today to the Astros would certainly place the Braves in a funk, no?
That was terrible. Just like losing a series at home to the Astros.
Don’t bet on it. It’s assumed Kris Medlen will return to the ‘pen once Tommy Hanson is activated, but another solid outing by the noted clothes horse should complicate that decision.
I have visions of the Braves making the post-season and the offense performing like yesterday. We have far too many games like that. As a team we are at .256, ameliorated by our knack for two-out hitting.
