Open Thread, June 15, Bravos vs. Tim Huletts
The O’s come to town having won five straight, of course, after it appeared they might be plummeting to earth.
They’ve hit a bunch of home runs — six guys with eight or more — and they have a good bullpen They don’t steal many bases. Their starting pitching has been OK. Hanson is perfectly capable of shutting them down tonight. Brian Matusz’s numbers are mediocre but he’s been decent lately. However, he only went a couple innings and allowed four runs in his last start.
The Braves need to get a couple key hits early. Enought of this leaving runners on every inning.
Surprised that Buck stuck with Matusz so long.
If Freeman didn’t get at least a couple of Wally Pipp jokes tossed his way in the dugout, I’ll be disappointed.
