The Bravos are now 6-1 5-1 vs. first place opponents, with all seven games on the road — 2 out of 3 vs. the Dodgers, a sweep of the Cards and tonight’s win over the Rays.

CORRECTION: No disrespect, O’s fans. Baltimore, not Tampa, occupies first in the AL East.

This is a good baseball team that we’re all rooting for.

Uggla hasn’t even gotten hot yet. Heyward is showing flashes of greatness, and his uniform is usually dirty. Diaz is having an “up” year. Between Diaz, Francisco and Hinske, we have the best pinch-hitting corps in the league. Pastornicky has been solid. We have a chance to win every single night.

  4. Fun fact: Yan was one of the minor leaguers the Braves sent to Montreal in exchange for Marquis Grissom

  5. Not fun if you’re an Expos fan. Thanks to the strike they go from the best team in baseball to one that’s giving away its stars to its chief division rival.
