Justice

“It’s just always good to come back to any function with the Braves, because this is where my heart is. Even though I played with other teams, this is home for me, the Braves.”

  1. How many clutch hits might he have had for us if we hadn’t traded him away? How many Atlanta Braves won a World Series with their bat? But he talked too much, was too colorful for the “Braves Way.”

  2. Easily one of my favorite Braves of all time; and I agree with Rob, he was way too colorful for the Braves way…which is why the brass had to bring in Kenny Lofton – that worked out so well…

  3. I have to say that when they made that trade, I thought it was a good move. Lofton at the time was arguably the best player in the game. That said, I love Justice.

  4. Great to see him and Freddy McGriff running around yesterday. I love it when all the old gang shows up for spring training.

According to the AJC, this is the first time David’s been in full Braves uniform since the trade. It looks right on him.

  5. It sure does. And Crime Dog looks like he could go out and get a couple of hits tomorrow. I love seeing the ex-Bravos with the team. That’s one thing the organization has done a great job on the past few years — bringing back the alumni for various functions, autograph sessions and such.
