The Bravos have re-acquired Matty D. for a player to be named. Diaz is signed for $2 million in 2012, though it’s unclear if the Braves are on the hook for that money.
It’s been a rough year in Pittsburgh for Diaz, hitting .259 with no homers. Against lefties, he’s batting .295.
Nice move by FW.

I guarantee he’ll win at least two games at bat and add to team chemistry. Solid move.
I remember him being sooooooo sad when he had to leave. I’m glad he’s back.
I hope they name former Pirate McLouth.
That was only partially a joke.
Good to have Matty D back! When he was non-tendered, you could tell that he was really sad to leave Atlanta (didn’t he offer to re-sign at or below his 2010 salary?).
Great move. Graeme, I’d GLADLY give the Bucs McLouth!
Glad to have Matty D back. Good bat off the bench. Don’t think he ever wanted to leave.
Welcome back!
Hopefully he’ll give us a nice spark; these past two games the offense has been absolutely pathetic.
Welcome back Matty D!
We’ve been trying to replace him since @ 5 minutes after he left.
Agreed Pepe; our right handed batting has been weak all year, especially off the bench. Good to have him back.
Glad to have Matty D back. Great move.
