  1. Caught the last few innings of the Phils-Cards game. Good fun on a rainy May night.

  2. Haven’t heard anybody calling for Fredi’s scalp for a week now. And should we still dump Lowe?

  3. I disagree, Rankin’ Rob. The trauma of the 1970s and 1980s Braves ingrained in me a fear of running out of pitching, as people who grew up in the Depression have a fear of running out of money and being poor again. If something happened to JJ or Hanson, God forbid, Lowe would do a credible job moving up a spot in the rotation. He always takes the ball, never bitches, and I easily can see him coming up big in a World Series game. He has 51 Ks and only 17 walks.

  4. Taking 2 out of 3 from the Phils will make any Braves fan happy. I’d like to see the offense pick up a little. A win is a win, but the boys should have hammered the ‘Stros. I know that is nitpicking, but I’d rather nitpick then scream about bunting and any misuse of the bullpen. Go Braves!

  5. Rufino, this ain’t football. No credit for margin of victory. It’d be nice to crush the bad teams, but sometimes it just doesn’t work that way. Rodriguez has been shutting down a lot of teams lately. That said, the Braves could have put Monday night’s game away in the first couple of innings.

  6. We’ve got to do a better job of beating up on the chumps. It’s what they’re there for.

  7. I agree with that, Trae. I guess my point is that it’s not realistic to expect to beat sub-.500 teams 10-1 every time out.

  8. Agreed, Charlesad. I’m nitpicking and should just be pleased w/ the 2 game sweep. If it we’re that easy they’d beat up on these teams all the time. Which doesn’t always happen.
