Even defeats encouraging

The Braves fell to the Fish today, 4-3, but the loss was tagged on Jose Ortegano, who has no shot of making the big club. Julio Teheran and Randall Delgado tossed scoreless frames, combining for three K’s.

More good news: Nate McLouth’s homer off Marlins closer Leo Nunez gives him more hits than he had all of last spring. Nate’s 1.436 OPS easily leads the Grapefruit League, though he barely leads teammate Freddie Freeman in BA: .467 to .458. F2 had three hits today.

Freddie has also looked very slick around the bag in the games and the highlights that I’ve seen.

Yes but Tommy Hanson let up 4 hits and 2 BBs in his 3 IP. Not an impressive line, even if he did hold them to 1 ER.

  3. You meant Huddy. Hanson had three hitless IP yesterday. I don’t worry about Huddy.

  4. This has been a great spring thus far. All the players that needed to step forward have and the young guns, I’ll call them The Latin Kings, have shown promise for the future. It’s irrelevant, but I like it.

I wondered what game you were talking about Tokyokie.

I finally figured out why that Lee Lacy picture looked so wrong.

I don’t really think Hudson is twirling with his A stuff just yet. He’s been to several rodeos and knows how to use this time to get everything in good working order.

I’m with CMC, been a pretty damn good spring so far.

Yes, yes but can I start referring to Jose Ortegano as a bum? I need someone to direct my negative energy toward.
