Not sure why Scott Proctor got the call before Stephen Marek or Craig Kimbrel. Mike Dunn and light-hitting catcher J.C. Boscan are also headed to Atlanta, along with that Freeman guy, who’ll join the team Wednesday.
McLouth and Glaus are also coming back; Nate will be available tonight, T-Roy, on Thursday.

Proctor’s on a guaranteed major league contract. Wren is all about proving his investments. I’m guessing the more deserving Marek didn’t get it because they didn’t think he’d get work and didn’t want to start his service time to start… and maybe Kimbrel needs to wait because of his recent demotion?
I’m not gonna second-guess Frank Wren right now. This has been the most unexpected fun in almost 20 years.
I hope Freddie gets more than just a few pinch hit appearances.
I think a player has to wait 15 days before he can be recalled again, but only while his minor-league team hasn’t ended. I’m guessing that’s why Kawakami was sent to Danville rather than Gwinnett.
