I’m sorry he ever sullied a Braves uniform.

And it was God, not Rudy Giuliani, who decided that converting a city park in an impoverished neighborhood into a temple for the Steinbrenners was a good idea.

I dispise him more than Newman dispised Keith Hernandez.

Assholes like him give Christians a bad name.

I hope their team plane goes down next season.

I imagine that when Tex said that, God was making that sound that Sideshow Bob made every time he stepped on a rake and smacked himself in the face with in the Simpsons episode that parodied Cape Fear…

Again, all of my friends here bringing the funny.
I love this place.

I’m sure all the people praying for salvation or for salvation, redemption, hope, for loved ones to be healed from disease, for the safety of those afflicted by today’s tragedy, or any other number of actual needs of faith are glad to know that God took time out of his busy day to allow this spoiled, money-hungry blowhard to get what he wanted.
I can think of a few other places I’d like God to lead him.

I understands how he feels. It’s like when God leads me to the bar bathroom after I’ve had too many beers and can barely see, let alone walk.

The intolerance . . .

You ever noticed the guys on the losing team usually neglect to thank God?

To echo what c_m_c wrote, on several occasions during these playoffs I noticed a really appalling number of fans in the Bronx actually visibly praying.
Most actions of most Yankee fans rub me the wrong way (I wanted to see that little fuck in the jacket slip and break his arm, just as an example) but that REALLY irked me. As if this decade long Series drought was some horrible burden, as if they’ve had some bedraggled, no chance team all that time and have finally gotten a small chance at glory.
These people sicken me.

To whom, or what, would a Yankee fan pray? They don’t just hope for a Saviour, they expect two or three.
Comment by Jack Straw — 11/06/2009 #
I hope they sign Holliday for a half-bil and that he loses the playoff clinching game by misplaying another one off his shrunken testes.

God gave me enough sense to declare Turdshera the biggest douche bag in baseball.

Corollary to Rob’s comment: Why doesn’t the losing team ever BLAME God?

The standup comic Jeff Stillson used to do a bit with the same point. He had a guy being interviewed after a game saying “We were doing great…’till Jesus made me fumble. He hates our team.”
